Sorry for the late update (again). I promise I’ll get to updating this blog every week, it’s just that sometimes I don’t have much to write about haha.
This week marks one month of being in Missoula. I miss Michigan, my friends, and my family so much, but it is getting a little easier at this point to live a regular life out here in Montana. I am officially unpacked and fully settled in at the AO house! I’m so happy to have a space that feels like me. It helps keep my homesickness in check to see all the things I love and have so many memories attached to hanging up around my room.
New students move into the AO in less than two weeks and returning students move in shortly after that. I’m so ready for fall programming to start. Our pastor at FPC will also be returning from sabbatical in a few weeks, I’m excited to get to work with him regularly soon. Basically it feels like all the waiting I’ve been doing for routine to kick in and for summer to settle into fall is about to pay off. Thank God! I need consistency. As my mom always reminds me, “you’ve never done well without routine, even when you were little it would throw you off.”
Church this week felt the most normal it has felt yet which was nice. I felt so fulfilled going home after the service. If you’re interested in checking out the services, they are streamed on Sunday mornings at 9:30 (MT) here.
Prayer Requests
- The mouse problem in the AO house persists. We have pest control coming out on Friday! Please pray that: (1) I do not see a mouse in my bedroom. (2) The pest control people come in and vanquish these critters quickly!!
- I am going to the Montana DMV on Wednesday afternoon to get my license transferred which marks the beginning of my journey to transfer all my car stuff! Please pray that I can power through my anxiety to complete this task! (I don’t know how insurance works and at this point, I’m too afraid to ask.)
- Please keep sending me cards! It’s so nice to know I’m being thought of and prayed for. In my lowest, lonely points, I always think of how so many people I love are praying for me and it really helps. If you’d like my address feel free to text me, my mom, or my dad. Or reach out to any of us on Facebook or Instagram.
Thank you all for all the love!! Love and miss you lots.
